Tako, cooked octopus, is a classic sushi topping with a gently chewy bite and a mild, sweet flavour. These slices are cooked, pre-cut and ready to serve, giving you thin, even pieces with the distinctive purple-edged skin that looks beautiful on a sushi platter.
Each 160g pack holds 20 slices, serving 1 to 2 people.
Defrost in the fridge and serve chilled. Lay over sushi rice for tako nigiri, or toss with cucumber, rice vinegar, sesame and a pinch of sugar for sunomono, the refreshing Japanese salad. They're also lovely in a Mediterranean-style salad with olive oil, lemon, paprika and potatoes, or flashed on a hot griddle for a few seconds for a smoky edge.
All our seafood is frozen to lock in quality from sea to doorstep. Keep frozen until needed and defrost in the fridge before serving. Once defrosted, eat within 24 hours and don't refreeze. Free delivery Tuesday to Friday on orders over £75, or collect from us if you're near South Ruislip.
