Sweet, moist crab meat, ready to eat straight from the tub. This pasteurised crab meat is picked from the claws, legs and body and gently heat-treated to keep it safe without freezing, so it keeps its delicate texture. It's high in protein and low in fat, and ready for crab rolls, salads, pasta or crab cakes.
Each 454g tub serves 3 to 4 people.
No cooking needed. Drain any liquid, then pick through gently with your fingers for any stray shell. Fold through mayonnaise, lemon and chives for crab rolls or sandwiches, toss through linguine with chilli, garlic and parsley, or bind with breadcrumbs, egg and herbs for crab cakes. If heating, add it at the very end so it just warms through.
This is a chilled product, not frozen. Store it in the fridge on arrival and follow the use-by guidance on the tub. If your order also includes frozen items, they'll be packed safely together. Free delivery Tuesday to Friday on orders over £75, or collect from us if you're near South Ruislip.
What does pasteurised mean?
The crab meat is sealed in its tub and gently heated to kill bacteria. This extends its chilled life without freezing, which keeps the texture soft and moist.
